THE LONG

I pursued a theatre degree before moving to New York to study photography at the School of Visual Arts. Later, I received a degree in Graphic Design from The Art Institutes. I am self-taught in illustration, painting and interior design.

As a practitioner of implicitly manipulative mediums, I believe art and design has the power to change the way people speak, think, feel, respond and interact. As such, it is my moral obligation to educate and empower people about community, the environment and the human condition.

I strive to make work that is functional, accessible and delightful in ways that respect human rights, human experience and human effort. My work is born from a place of empathy for the people I serve.

I am passionate about projects that address the environmental, social and cultural crises that demand attention from climate change to social injustice.

I’m courting my love for language by performing spoken word, writing a new stand-up routine or writing that book I promised to my mom before she dies (no pressure!). My favorite book is the thesaurus and I love the power of language in all its forms. I’m also an avid DIYer who loves a great power tool. As of late, I have been expanding my skills in interior design, mural painting and commissioned art work for private clients. When there’s any time left, I enjoy learning flow arts techniques on my rope dart to perform as an amateur fire performer.

  • Design and direct multimedia creative concepts. Lead and collaborate with designers, artists, photographers and developers in tandem with marketing department heads to achieve client objectives.

  • Concept development, copy writing, story boarding, design for print, digital, video, and social media campaigns.

  • Design and production of logos, style guides, graphics for print and web, pitch decks, and email marketing.

  • Wireframe, high-fidelity prototype, competitive research and SEO, to create a functional and accessible user interface and experience for both mobile and web.
